Taylor Swift Rumored to Quit Music After ‘Life of a Showgirl’ Release
Taylor Swift Responds to Rumors About Quitting Music
Taylor Swift has dismissed a fan theory suggesting she plans to leave the music industry after marrying Travis Kelce and releasing her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” During a radio interview, she addressed the speculation directly.
Asked if this might be her final album, Swift clarified, “What? No.” She emphasized that her love for her craft and her relationship don’t mean she’ll stop creating music.
She explained, “Getting married isn’t about quitting your job. I love who I am with because he supports what I do and finds fulfillment in my music. That’s the best part about Travis; his passion for his work connects with mine. He’s not going to be upset that I continue making music.”
In her interview, Swift also discussed her relationship with Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Despite working in different industries, they find common ground in their shared passion for performing.
“Supporting each other is incredibly fun. Our jobs are quite different, yet similar — we both perform for hours in large venues, whether it’s an NFL stadium or a concert stage,” she said. “For him, it’s a game; for me, it’s a show. We both have teams and perform to entertain people.”
Swift also shared how enjoyable it’s been supporting Kelce, describing their relationship as fun and full of mutual encouragement. They began dating in summer 2023 and announced their engagement in August, which had actually taken place weeks earlier.
