NYC Missing Child Case Turns with Dog Detecting Human Blood in Apartment
Investigation Takes a Sudden Turn in Missing Child Case
An ongoing search for an 11-year-old boy in Brooklyn has taken a disturbing new direction after authorities found evidence of human blood in the child’s family apartment. Law enforcement sources revealed that a police dog detected traces of blood near a refrigerator in the residence.
The boy, who has autism, was reported missing from his home on Howard Avenue in Brownsville. Child services officials conducted a wellness check on September 25 when the mother, who opened the door, was cooperative but refused to provide her son’s birth certificate.
Sensors and canine units searched the apartment but found no sign that the boy had been inside recently. On a subsequent visit, authorities questioned the mother, who reacted aggressively when asked about her son’s whereabouts.
During the investigation, officers brought in a K9 unit, which identified human blood residues in or near the refrigerator area, raising concerns about potential foul play. Despite these alarming findings, the child was not located at the residence, and the case remains open.
The mother was taken to the hospital as an “emotionally disturbed person,” but she is not facing criminal charges at this time, according to sources. The investigation continues as authorities seek more information about the boy’s disappearance.
