Best Man at Minnesota Wedding Shoots Guest in Heated Altercation

Man Arrested After Shooting at Minnesota Wedding

A wedding in Minnesota turned violent when the best man allegedly opened fire during a dispute, injuring a guest seriously. The incident occurred Saturday evening at Keller Regional Park in Maplewood, where over 100 attendees gathered for the celebration.

According to authorities, Stephan James, 34, shot a 36-year-old guest in both legs amid a heated altercation. The shooting victim was transported to Regions Hospital and is expected to recover.

The motives behind the fight remain unclear. James initially fled the scene but was apprehended four days later in a residential area in the state’s capital. Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle, eventually surrounding a white Chevrolet pickup truck, where they detained James in the passenger seat.

During the arrest, officers recovered two guns from the vehicle, one of which was stolen. James is currently in custody at Ramsey County jail, pending formal charges.
