Bad Bunny to Headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show
The next Super Bowl halftime performance will feature Bad Bunny as the headlining artist, scheduled for February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Fresh off his highly successful Puerto Rico residency— which made history as the most-watched Amazon Music livestream—Bad Bunny continues to dominate the music scene. The 31-year-old Reggaeton superstar previously appeared as a special guest during the 2020 halftime show, performing “I Like It” and joining Shakira for mashups of “Chantaje” and “Callaita.”
The announcement was first made during the live broadcast of the Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium. The NFL and Apple Music had earlier teased the news with cryptic posts hinting at a significant halftime reveal.
Leading up to the announcement, fans speculated that Taylor Swift might perform, especially since she recently bought back her masters and is engaged to Travis Kelce, the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite this, Swift has maintained a low profile at Chiefs games over concerns for her safety, amid threats she reportedly received.
Other potential performers included Adele and Metallica, with the latter’s drummer Lars Ulrich expressing interest publicly. Adele, who has previously attended Super Bowls as a fan, was reportedly in discussions for the show.
Historic performers at the Super Bowl include Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Prince, and many other legendary artists. The 2026 game will be hosted in the San Francisco Bay Area, marking the third time the region hosts an NFL Championship and the second at Levi’s Stadium, known for its hosting of Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
