Support for a Change in New Jersey’s Gubernatorial Race

She even blames former President Donald Trump for current inflation, despite record-high prices emerging under federal spending policies enacted during the Biden administration.

Economic and Policy Stances

Sherrill’s plan to curb grocery prices involves taxing large corporations that allegedly inflate food costs during crises. She supports expanding Murphy’s energy policies aimed at reducing emissions, but critics point out these efforts have significantly inflated energy costs, with estimates of the Green Energy Master Plan reaching $1.4 trillion.

Her proposals to alleviate high taxes involve closing loopholes—essentially, raising taxes more. Additionally, she opposes allowing parents to opt out of LGBTQ education and has been accused of avoiding transparency regarding her stock investments, which have increased by $7 million since her election.

Ciattarelli’s Vision for the State

In contrast, Ciattarelli advocates for lowering income taxes, limiting government spending to inflation, banning sanctuary cities, and reforming energy policies to reduce costs. He also supports fixing bail laws and expanding school choice.

Electoral Outlook

Despite historic blue dominance, recent polls show a tightening race, with voters expressing dissatisfaction with Murphy’s policies. The Democratic Party’s increased spending on the campaign signifies concern about Ciattarelli’s growing support.
