Exclusive: ‘Special Forces’ Coach Calls Out Brianna LaPaglia’s Attitude
Recruitment Coach Shares Experience with Contestant on Reality Series
Jason Fox, known as DS Foxy and a coach on “Special Forces,” provided insight into Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s time on the show. He noted that she made a strong impression despite initial frustrations.
“She showed resilience, especially since she had a tough journey. She annoyed us early on, with her attitude and resistance to authority,” Foxy explained. “She has a lot of attitude and doesn’t particularly enjoy being told what to do, which led to some clash of wills.”
Despite the tension, Fox praised her for stepping up when it mattered most. “When she understood what was required, she increased her effort and accepted the challenge,” he said.
Brianna LaPaglia previously disclosed that she went into the competition with little knowledge of the show, having only seen clips rather than full episodes. She admitted, “Thank goodness I didn’t watch full episodes, or I might not have done it.”
She shared that her participation was prompted by her stubbornness and a challenge to her manager’s beliefs. “I had never watched the show fully before, just clips, so I didn’t really know what I was signing up for. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t know — if I had, I might not have done it,” she said.
Her journey on the show included difficult moments, such as struggling with demanding challenges. In the first episode, she chose to withdraw voluntarily after facing setbacks while pushing barrels and during coach-imposed punishments, describing herself as “so embarrassing” for predicting she’d be first to quit.
