Corey Feldman Responds to Maks Chmerkovskiy’s ‘Difficult Time’ Claim about Jenna Johnson
Corey Feldman Responds to Claims of Poor Attitude on “Dancing With the Stars”
Corey Feldman has spoken out against accusations that he lacked dedication while competing on “Dancing With the Stars.” Despite being eliminated early, Feldman clarified that he worked diligently and practiced intensively during the show.
After his exit, Feldman addressed the negativity surrounding his partnership with Jenna Johnson. He shared on Instagram, “I’m sorry if the media has created a false story that our time together was anything less than enjoyable. I was there seven days a week for three weeks, committed to giving my best, even if it wasn’t always apparent to the judges.” He added a heartfelt message wishing Johnson and her family well and encouraging her to continue dancing.
He also expressed regret that she “deserved better” and emphasized his gratitude for working with her, stating, “I really enjoyed her and feel terrible about how things turned out.” Feldman highlighted that he put in maximum effort, even if the judges didn’t see all his work.
Sources close to Feldman have defended him, asserting that accusations of laziness are unwarranted. They note he was feeling “pretty defeated” after his quick elimination following just two episodes.
Before the results, Johnson’s brother-in-law Maksim Chmerkovskiy commented that Jenna was finding it challenging to work with Feldman. He told a news outlet that Jenna was struggling more than people realize and suggested that age and work ethic might have contributed to the difficulties. However, insiders added that Feldman was often distracted by news related to Charlie Sheen and his Netflix series, which may have affected his focus during rehearsals.
Feldman had previously alleged that Sheen played a role in the death of his friend Corey Haim, a claim which Sheen vehemently denied. Sheen remarked he chose not to pursue legal action against Feldman, dismissing his accusations.
