Trump’s US Open Visit Sparks Chaos for Celebrities and VIPs at Flushing Meadows

Disruption at the US Open Men’s Final Due to Presidential Appearance

The presence of the President at the US Open Men’s Singles final on Sunday caused significant chaos, leading to logistical issues and crowd frustration. Attendees reported difficulties with parking and access, with some describing the situation as a “complete mess.” Security measures had reportedly resulted in restricted entry, with many fans and celebrities experiencing long waits and delayed access.

Among the celebrities seen waiting in line were Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, and Ben Stiller, while actress Debra Messing was reportedly held in her car for an hour as entry was denied initially. Lindsay Lohan was spotted walking through parking lots, highlighting the widespread delays faced by attendees.

Despite the disruptions, some celebrities managed to reach their seats in time to watch the match between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, including Mindy Kaling, Bruce Springsteen, B.J. Novak, and Sting. Ben Stiller was observed patiently waiting in line, and Debra Messing eventually gained entry after a prolonged wait.

Before the match, the United States Tennis Association instructed broadcasters not to air any crowd reactions, including boos or cheers, to avoid giving prominence to the crowd’s response to the President. Social media posts confirmed that Trump was loudly booed during the national anthem, with spectators expressing their disapproval through loud applause and chants.

The event marked a notable return for Trump, who previously was booed at the US Open in 2015, when he attended with Melania Trump to watch Serena Williams play Venus Williams. This time, he was accompanied by members of his administration, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as well as his son-in-law Jared Kushner and granddaughter Arabella.
