JD Vance Teases 2028 Bid: It Won’t Be ‘Given’ to Him
JD Vance Avoids Confirming 2028 Presidential Run
During a recent interview, Vice President JD Vance stopped short of definitively stating he will seek the presidency in 2028. He cautiously acknowledged the possibility, suggesting that if he performs well in his current role, the political future will unfold naturally.
Vance, known for overcoming a challenging upbringing marked by family struggles and economic difficulties, stated he prefers not to dwell on a presidential bid and remains focused on his present responsibilities. He emphasized that success in coming years will shape the political discourse, saying, “If we do a good job in 2025 and 2026, then we can talk about the politics in 2027.” He expressed discontent with politicians who appear to seek the next office too early, advocating instead for dedication to current duties.
He acknowledged that if he chooses to run, he understands it will require significant effort. “There are many talented individuals,” Vance said. “If I run, it won’t be handed to me—whether within the party or nationally. I plan to work hard because outside of being a father to my three children, this job might be the most important I ever have.” He believes that focusing on doing his best will let the political landscape develop on its own.
Regarding 2028 Democratic Candidates
When asked about potential Democratic contenders for the 2028 election, Vance pointed out that many of them have problematic histories, implying their records are not impressive.
