Americans Still Dislike Trump and His Actions
New Poll Shows Waning Support for Trump Among Americans
According to a recent NBC News Decision Desk Poll, President Donald Trump continues to face low approval ratings from the American public across various issues. The survey indicates that 57% disapprove of his performance, with only 43% expressing approval—a figure consistent with previous polls.
Public opinion remains largely unfavorable, with Trump’s approval ratings plummeting below zero within just two months of his presidency, and now standing at a net rating of -14, as reported by The Economist. An aggregate of polls tracked by Nate Silver shows a negative net approval of approximately -7.
Despite widespread disapproval, Americans strongly support vaccines, with 78% endorsing their use, including majorities from all political parties. This support contrasts sharply with ongoing turmoil within Trump’s administration, notably the recent leadership shake-up at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public disagreements involving health agency officials, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Trump’s approval ratings on immigration and border policies are also low, with only 43% approving of his mass deportation efforts and 47% on border security. His ratings on trade and inflation are even lower, at 41% and 39% respectively.
Emotionally, the survey reveals that nearly 70% of Democrats are either angry or furious about Trump’s actions, whereas only 45% of Republicans report feeling “thrilled” or “happy” about his presidency.
