Lady Gaga Cancels Miami Concert Just Minutes Before Showtime
Lady Gaga Cancels Miami Show Due to Vocal Strain
Lady Gaga announced the cancellation of her Miami Mayhem Ball performance just minutes before showtime. She took to Instagram Stories to explain that her voice was “extremely strained” during rehearsals and, upon medical advice, decided to postpone the concert to prevent potential long-term damage.
“Both my doctor and vocal coach have advised me not to proceed because of the risks,” she shared. Though she was eager to perform, she prioritized her health, emphasizing that pushing through could cause permanent vocal cord injury.
She described the decision as “hard” and “agonizing,” explaining that despite her efforts to avoid canceling, her health was at risk. Gaga reassured fans that she’s working on rescheduling the concert and expressed her sincere regret for the inconvenience.
Earlier this summer, Lady Gaga endured a fall on stage during a Las Vegas performance but recovered without missing a beat. She also faced a potential bomb threat at a Rio de Janeiro concert, which was thwarted by authorities.
The singer is set to continue her tour with a show scheduled at Madison Square Garden in New York starting September 6. She also highlighted her openness about the pressures of her career and how her mental health influences her music, sharing that she often sings during her lows to help process her emotions.
