Naked Woman Arrested After Hours-Long Standoff in West Hollywood

Authorities detained a woman who was found unclothed following a tense four-hour standoff on the streets of West Hollywood. The incident began when residents reported an assault involving a screaming, nude woman, prompting police to pursue the suspect.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, fled the scene in a Ford Bronco that contained a small dog. Aerial footage captured the vehicle surrounded by police, with the woman refusing to exit the car for nearly four hours. At one point, she threw a hammer out of the window.

Specialized units, including mental health professionals, responded to the scene, and police deployed spike strips to prevent the woman from driving away. Eventually, she exited through a window in the vehicle, still unclothed. Officers wrapped her in a sheet and took her into custody without further resistance.

During the incident, officers laid down spike strips and called in additional support. The woman was ultimately subdued and taken into custody without incident. The police also towed her Bronco, which contained her dog, after blocking the vehicle with armored units.

An officer revealed that the woman decided to surrender when officers threatened to use tear gas. This incident follows a recent high-profile case involving a nude individual wandering the streets and attacking police, highlighting ongoing concerns about mental health crises in the area.
