Powerball Jackpot: Winning Numbers for $1 Billion (Aug. 30)
Powerball Jackpot Surges to $1.10 Billion After No Winner
The $1 billion Powerball jackpot has grown even larger after no one matched all winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, with Powerball 17. Since no ticket matched all, the jackpot now stands at an estimated $1.10 billion.
While the grand prize remained unclaimed, three players who matched five numbers plus the Power Play option won $2 million each. Additionally, nine tickets matched five numbers and earned $1 million prizes.
The next drawing is scheduled for Monday, coinciding with Labor Day. Jackpots can be claimed either as a lump sum of approximately $498.4 million (before taxes) or as annuity payments starting at over $4.5 million, increasing by 5% annually to a total of $18.7 million over 30 years.
Powerball has not had a winner since May 31, when a ticket sold in California matched all numbers for a jackpot of $204.5 million, marking a nearly three-month streak without a jackpot winner.
