In 2025, Chelsea’s prospects are looking promising after a successful year, marked by victories in the Europa Conference League and the Club World Cup. According to the CIES Football Observatory, the club boasts three of the world’s top teenage talents, all ranking within the top 10.
The standout is Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal, rated as the best teenage player globally with an average performance score of 97.7. He played a pivotal role in Barcelona’s Spanish league triumph, scoring the decisive opening goal in their victory over Espanyol. Yamal also contributed significantly to Barcelona’s Copa del Rey and Super Cup wins, and impressed during the Champions League semi-finals.
Right behind Yamal is his teammate Pau Cubarsi, a defender who has established himself as a key player early in 2025, earning a rating of 93.4. The third top teen is Warren Zaire-Emery of PSG and France, with a score of 87.8. The 19-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a trophy-laden year, including PSG’s historic first Champions League victory with a resounding 5-0 win over Inter Milan.
Notably, Chelsea’s Estevao Willian ranks fourth with a rating of 86.7, recognized for his performances with Palmeiras. Fellow South American Franco Mastantuono (85.4) and Ajax’s Jorrel Hato (84.0) follow. Arsenal’s emerging star Myles Lewis-Skelly, who scored on his England debut at just 18 years old, is joint seventh with a score of 83.9, alongside Braga’s Roger Fernandes.
Completing the top 10 are Portugal’s Geovany Quenda, set to transfer to Chelsea next season, and Mexico’s Elias Montiel from Pachuca. The list highlights the brightest young talents shaping the future of football, with an array of international stars making a significant mark early in their careers.
