Manchester United has been identified as the worst value-for-money squad in the Premier League, according to recent analysis. Despite their significant financial outlay, the club’s squad is worth considerably less than what was spent to assemble it, highlighting a substantial loss.

The club’s transfer expenditure totals approximately £1.1 billion, yet the current squad valuation is around £769 million, resulting in a financial deficit of over £322 million. This situation reflects a $322.9 million loss, leading United to accept substantial discounts on several high-profile players, including Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, as they seek to offload unwanted assets.

For example, Sancho, bought for £73 million, could be sold for as little as £17 million.
