Dylan Walsh Crash: Alleged Open White Claw Cans in SUV
Actor Dylan Walsh Involved in Car Accident in New Jersey
Actress and actor Dylan Walsh was involved in a serious car accident last week in Rumson, New Jersey. According to police reports, Walsh’s vehicle collided with two utility poles after swerving into oncoming traffic. Witnesses reported hearing his wife, Leslie Bourque, shouting for someone to “get the bag out of the back seat” prior to the crash.
Police found Walsh, 61, looking “very red and confused” during their interaction. He admitted to drinking alcohol earlier and stated he was returning from a tavern when the accident occurred. Inside the vehicle, authorities discovered an open cooler containing empty White Claw cans, indicating prior alcohol consumption.
The crash involved Walsh’s family, including their two children, Hudson (12) and Amelie (13), as well as another passenger. The vehicle struck two utility poles, with two passengers sustaining pain-related injuries and being taken to Riverview Medical Center. Walsh’s car was initially traveling northbound but suddenly veered into the southbound lane, causing the crash.
Following the incident, Walsh received six citations, including open container of alcohol, reckless driving, expired registration, unsafe lane change, failure to keep right, and driving on a sidewalk. A police spokesperson noted he appeared visibly intoxicated and disoriented during the arrest.
A spokesman for Walsh issued a statement confirming that everyone involved is now safe and has returned home. The family expressed their gratitude to emergency services and hospital staff for their prompt assistance. They also thanked the management of The River Point Inn for their immediate support.
Walsh, known for his role as Dr. Sean McNamara on “Nip/Tuck,” has yet to comment publicly on the incident.
