Final Moments of Xana Kernodle Revealed in Crime Scene Photos

Disturbing new images from the crime scene depict the last meal of Xana Kernodle, one of four University of Idaho students murdered in 2022. The photos show her partially eaten DoorDash fries, left on top of the microwave, and an empty delivery bag with her name scribbled on it, abandoned on the kitchen counter.

Investigators found scattered wrappers from Jack-in-the-Box around the cluttered kitchen area. Kernodle’s food was dropped off outside her residence at 3:59 a.m., just minutes before surveillance footage caught the perpetrator parking nearby. It’s believed she retrieved her order from the front door prior to hearing a disturbance upstairs, prompting her to check on her roommates.
