John Bolton Criticizes Trump’s ‘Incoherent’ Ukraine Plan After FBI Raid
Ex-National Security Adviser John Bolton Responds to FBI Search of His Home
John Bolton, the former U.S. National Security Adviser, has publicly spoken out for the first time following the FBI’s search of his residence on Friday. In a series of posts on X, he sharply criticized the current administration’s foreign policy and the handling of the search.
Bolton compared President Donald Trump’s Ukraine strategy to a state of disarray, describing it as “no more coherent than it was last Friday” and suggesting negotiations might be nearing their end, coinciding with the FBI search. He also linked recent social media posts by Trump to a broader confusion within his administration, criticizing Trump’s comments comparing his own actions to President Nixon’s resignation.
Bolton further connected the FBI investigation to deteriorating international relationships, particularly criticizing the United States’ diplomacy with India. He claimed that the fallout from recent diplomatic failures has significantly damaged bilateral ties, emphasizing that “the longer India hangs out to dry, the worse the relationship with Washington gets.”
Bolton also linked his criticism to an opinion piece published earlier in the day, where he accused the current administration’s Ukraine policy of being “utterly incoherent.” He pointed out that the administration has attempted to mask internal chaos through social media, highlighting Trump’s controversial comparison of his actions to Nixon’s resignation, which Bolton finds perplexing.
