Lil Nas X Faces Felony Charges Following Police Incident

Rapper Lil Nas X has been formally charged with multiple felonies after an altercation with police in Los Angeles last Thursday. He is accused of attacking officers during his arrest, which resulted in injuries to at least three officers.

Authorities allege that officers approached Hill while he was walking unclothed along Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley. He reportedly charged at the officers, causing injuries during the confrontation. Hill was subsequently taken into custody and transported to a local hospital, where he was evaluated for a potential overdose.

He faces four felony counts, including assault with injury on a police officer and resisting an officer. Reports indicate that he had previously punched an officer during the incident, initially booked for misdemeanor battery. Video footage circulated online shows Hill roaming nearly naked in the early morning hours, wearing only underwear and cowboy boots, then walking down the street fully naked while reciting lyrics from Nicki Minaj’s verse in Kanye West’s “Monster.”

Law enforcement was called by multiple witnesses, and officers arrived around 5:50 a.m. A clip shows Hill telling the person filming that he was heading to a party and was seen putting an orange traffic cone on his head. Another video captures him walking in the street, singing, in a bizarre display of behavior.

Following the incident, Hill was held in jail over the weekend. He appeared in court on Monday, is expected to be arraigned, and remains under legal scrutiny. TMZ reports that he was also hospitalized after charging at officers during the arrest process.

In past interviews, Hill openly discussed the challenges he faced in recent years, mentioning that he was working towards expressing himself more confidently through his music. Despite the recent events, he expressed his desire to continue performing and sharing joy with his fans, saying he wants to “wave my hands in the sky and move about freely” and asked supporters to stay by his side.
