Justin Baldoni & Blake Lively Legal Drama: Bombshell ‘Smear Campaign’ Texts & Emails Unsealed
Sealed Evidence Suggests Alleged Campaign Against Blake Lively
Recently unsealed court documents reveal purported messages indicating that Justin Baldoni may have organized a damaging campaign against Blake Lively amid ongoing legal disputes. Over 60 exhibits uncovered through legal discovery include emails and texts suggesting coordinated efforts to influence public perception.
In one August 2024 email, Baldoni’s publicist Melissa Nathan introduced his business partner to social media strategist Jed Wallace, whose now-deleted profile described him as a “hired gun” with specialized tactics for trend manipulation. Nathan detailed plans for social media activities, including a budget of $30,000 per month over three months, aimed at controlling negative narratives.
Additional communications disclosed strategies to amplify positive PR, manage derogatory online content, and even manipulate social media platforms like Reddit, TikTok, and Instagram. The approach involved deploying anonymous accounts to engage with negative comments, shift the narrative, and potentially remove harmful links—actions that critics say amounted to covert reputation management.
Correspondence also referenced efforts to monitor online forums, leverage influencers, and “move” negative content down search results, all while maintaining anonymity. An unnamed team member confirmed these tactics as part of a broader plan to “change the overall narrative.”
Amidst these revelations, Blake Lively’s legal team expressed concern over the extent of the campaign, emphasizing the “overwhelming evidence” of a coordinated smear. Wallace, who is also embroiled in a defamation lawsuit, denies orchestrating such schemes, claiming he was merely hired to oversee social media monitoring.
Justin Baldoni, who is countersuing Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds for defamation, had his own lawsuit dismissed earlier this year. Both parties are expected to testify at the trial scheduled for March 2026, as the legal battle continues to unfold.
