Diego Borella, an assistant director working on the popular series “Emily in Paris,” tragically passed away after collapsing during filming in Venice, Italy. The 47-year-old experienced a sudden heart attack while on location at the Hotel Danieli. Despite immediate medical efforts, he was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased in the evening.
Eyewitnesses reported that medics arrived at the scene shortly after his collapse and attempted resuscitation, but ultimately couldn’t save him. His death prompted a halt in the production of the show’s final episode, though filming resumed two days later.
During production, Borella was scheduled to complete filming the season’s concluding scenes. His colleagues and the cast, including star Lily Collins, expressed condolences following the news, with Collins sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot.
