Denise Richards Battles Ex Aaron Phypers Over Calabasas Home After Eviction
Denise Richards Seeks Court Order to Evict Estranged Husband from Los Angeles Home
Denise Richards has petitioned the court to have her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, and his family removed from their rental property in Calabasas after discovering he has not been paying rent and is facing eviction. In court documents, Richards requested the eviction so she could retrieve her personal belongings and her dogs without violating a temporary restraining order.
Although both are listed on the lease, Richards claims she moved out two years ago, under the impression that her ex-husband’s family would stay there temporarily. She alleges that Phypers refused to vacate the residence, despite discussions about his family leaving the property and moving back to Canada.
The landlord has been attempting to reach Phypers regarding unpaid rent for six months but has been unsuccessful. Richards states that she left many personal items, including belongings from her late mother, at the house, and fears her pets and belongings could be harmed or discarded during the eviction process.
Photos attached to the court filing show numerous boxes, clothes, and papers strewn across the home, with flooring removed. Richards reports discovering the house in a state of disarray, with significant damage caused by Phypers and his family. She claims the property has been severely damaged, describing it as “in a state of disarray.”
The ex-couple’s dispute has escalated, with Richards obtaining a temporary restraining order earlier this month after alleging abuse during their marriage. Phypers has denied any physical or emotional abuse.
Furthermore, Richards alleges that Phypers mentioned his family planned to leave the house and that he had been instructed to handle rent payments starting in January. Last month, she was also involved in a police incident when she showed up to collect her dogs, prompting police intervention. Additionally, radio audio reveals Phypers expressing fears for his parents’ safety when Richards arrived at their home.
