Popular TikTok Creator John Crawley, aka “KingBeardX,” Passes Away at 47
John Crawley, widely recognized for his humorous content and distinctive beard, has unexpectedly died at the age of 47. He rose to prominence with over 3.5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, known for his comedic reactions and sharp wit.
His close friend and former podcast co-host, Anthony Caruso, announced the news via a GoFundMe page created earlier this month to cover Crawley’s mounting medical expenses. According to Caruso, Crawley had been hospitalized in Mississippi with severe breathing difficulties.
“He was having trouble breathing, went to the hospital, and was placed on a ventilator,” Caruso shared. “His oxygen levels dropped past 66%, and he stopped breathing. Medical staff managed to revive him, but his condition remains critical.”
Caruso added that Crawley did not have health insurance, which prompted the fundraising effort aimed at covering ICU costs, estimated at around $31,574—an amount aligning with average ICU expenses in the U.S.
Sources close to Crawley indicated he was experiencing significant respiratory issues before his hospitalization. “A family member reported that he struggled to breathe and was placed on a ventilator,” Caruso explained. “He is still fighting, with his condition very unstable.”
Crawley’s mother expressed gratitude for the support, and Caruso confirmed that the fundraiser will also assist with funeral costs and support Crawley’s family during this difficult time.
Fans on social media expressed their shock and sadness. “It’s so sad, I hope it isn’t real,” wrote one supporter. Others reminisced about his unique humor, lamenting the loss of an influential comedian known for his entertaining social media reactions.
Crawley’s legacy endures through his content, appreciated by millions for his comedic talent and his authentic personality.
