RHONY Star Sues Ex-Fiancé for $10M Over Alleged Harassment and Exploitation

Reality TV Star Sues Artist Ex-Fiancée for $10 Million

Racquel Chevremont, known for her role on Real Housewives of New York City and also working as an art curator and model, has filed a lawsuit against her former partner, artist Mickalene Thomas, seeking $10 million. The legal complaint alleges a decade of exploitation, nonpayment, and unethical conduct by Thomas from 2012 to 2022.

According to the court documents, Chevremont claims she was improperly compensated for over ten years, including during her employment and under a formal agreement established in January 2021, as well as for multimillion-dollar deals she negotiated on Thomas’s behalf. She asserts that Thomas engaged in sexual harassment, diverted substantial funds and business opportunities from their jointly owned business, and created a hostile work environment.

Chevremont alleges that even after their breakup in 2020, they continued working together, during which Thomas pressured her to rekindle a romantic relationship. When she refused, Thomas allegedly terminated her employment. The lawsuit also accuses Thomas of intentionally diverting funds and opportunities from their joint venture to her own LLC.

Several photographs accompany the complaint, highlighting their past relationship, including a proposal at New Year’s Eve in 2019, and their collaboration on art projects. The pair first met in 2002 and started dating in 2011 while both were in Paris, despite being married at the time. They later engaged in 2019, but split soon after a joint exhibition at the Parrish Art Museum in 2020.

Chevremont, who starred in season 15 of RHONY, is now engaged to Mel Corpus, a forensic neuropsychologist. Representatives for both parties have not yet responded to inquiries.
