18-year-old social media personality Lil Tay, born Claire Hope, shared provocative comments on Instagram, criticizing women over 25 who work traditional 9-to-5 jobs. She declared, “If you’re over the age of 25 and still working a 9 to 5, you are a failure,” urging women to pursue financial independence by joining platforms like OnlyFans instead.

She encouraged women to drop their links and focus on earning money without concern for others’ opinions. Tay also claimed her family “disowned” her after she decided to join OnlyFans, stating, “They don’t talk to me anymore. I can literally buy their whole life if I wanted to. I’m good.”

In celebration of her 18th birthday last month, Tay launched her OnlyFans account and claimed to have made over $1 million within hours, breaking records on the platform. She posted a snap of herself with the caption, “We broke the f–k out of that onlyfans record,” sharing exclusive content taken at midnight on her birthday.

In 2023, Tay’s fame was marred by a false death rumor circulated on her Instagram account claiming she and her brother, Jason Tian, had died. The news was met with skepticism, as her former manager questioned its validity and her father refused to comment. Tay later explained her account was hacked, and the misinformation was spread by a third party.

Following the hoax, her team issued a statement confirming a custody agreement had been settled between her mother, Angela Tian, and her father after years of legal disputes, allowing her to continue her career. Attorneys for Tian reported that they successfully obtained court orders to facilitate her professional pursuits.
