Florida Woman Kristin Galli Arrested for Drunken Bomb Threat at UCF
Florida Woman Arrested for Threatening University of Central Florida While Intoxicated
A woman in Florida was detained after making a drunken bomb threat to the University of Central Florida (UCF) shortly after the academic year ended.
On May 22, Kristin Galli, 29, contacted UCF Student Care Services while intoxicated and threatened, “I’m gonna f–king blow you guys up,” before hanging up. Authorities identified her through her voicemail and call records when she failed to answer subsequent callback attempts, according to an arrest affidavit.
Additionally, Galli sent over 200 incoherent text messages and images of herself to a UCF professor from the same phone number. The following day, police located her, and she admitted to making the threats while under the influence, explaining she was angry and thought it would be humorous.
Galli was quickly apprehended and faces charges of false reporting of a bomb on state property and unlawful use of communication devices. Her mugshot shows her with messy makeup, crooked glasses, and green hair, staring blankly at the camera.
She is scheduled to appear in court on August 21. Bomb threats like hers appear to be a recurring issue among some offenders in Florida.
