Investigation Continues into the Death of Fashion Designer Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra
The family of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra is seeking answers about her last interactions before she was found dead aboard a boat in Montauk. Authorities are conducting an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, which remains unusual and unclear.
Lawyer Arthur Aidala clarified that Nolan-O’Slatarra, 33, was not known to have used drugs, dismissing initial speculation of an overdose. The family is eager to identify anyone who was with her that evening, questioning whether others were present at the time of her death.
Authorities have revealed that multiple individuals are being questioned as part of the investigation. Nolan-O’Slatarra’s family recently met with homicide detectives, who are thoroughly exploring all potential angles.
Aidala expressed concerns that she may have been unknowingly drugged, stating the family fears she could have been dosed without their knowledge. They are working closely with law enforcement and retired officers to ensure a proper investigation.
Nolan-O’Slatarra was discovered on a boat named “The Ripple,” docked at the upscale Montauk Yacht Club. The vessel belonged to local resident Chris Durnan, a 60-year-old owner of an insurance company. Durnan has yet to respond to inquiries.
The family, who reside in Manhattan and spend summers in the Hamptons organizing pop-up shops for their fashion brand East x East, remains hopeful for clarity as authorities continue their inquiry.
