Alexis Gosselin Makes Rare Appearance After Brother Collin’s Heartbreaking Message

Recently, Alexis Gosselin made a rare appearance in a TikTok video shared by her mother, Kate Gosselin, shortly after her brother Collin expressed feelings of separation and pain through an emotional open letter to his siblings.
In the video, 21-year-old Alexis was seen briefly as her mother, a former reality TV star turned nurse, prepared for a 12-hour shift. The siblings shared a heartfelt goodbye, with Kate urging Alexis to drive safely and text when she arrives, to which Alexis responded, “Love you.”
It appears Alexis continues to keep a low profile, residing with her mother—unlike her brother Collin, who is estranged from the family. Alexis was last seen celebrating her 21st birthday with her siblings, excluding Collin and Hannah, in May.
Last week, Collin shared a heartfelt post on TikTok, showing a throwback photo of him and his siblings with the words, “Born to be a team, us against the world.” The following slide featured a current photo of Collin, captioned, “Forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like.” He concluded by expressing his enduring love for his siblings despite the distance and separation.
Formerly fronting the TLC series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” the Gosselin family experienced a public split after Kate and Jon Gosselin divorced in 2009. Kate’s custody of all eight children was followed by a rebranded show, “Kate Plus 8,” which aired until 2017.
In 2016, Kate sent 12-year-old Collin to a facility for behavioral issues. Jon later removed him and gained full custody, leading to a family division—Collin and Hannah moved with their father, while the rest stayed with their mother. Collin has spoken openly about the estrangement, alleging that he suffered abuse, including being confined in a room with a camera, zip-tied and locked inside as a child.
She claimed Collin’s mental health struggles have made their relationship difficult, while Collin has accused her of horrific abuse, including confinement and restraint. He revealed having a room in their basement, securely locked and monitored with cameras, where he was once kept as a child.
Despite their challenges, Collin expressed love for his siblings and reflected on the family’s past, revealing that he has taken steps to rebuild his life, including starting a new business after discharge from the Marines and overcoming the mental health struggles he faced. The family remains divided, with ongoing discussions about their complex relationships.
