Maluma Stops Concert to Address Baby Without Ear Protection

During a recent performance in Mexico City, Colombian singer Maluma paused his show upon noticing an unprotected baby in the audience. He addressed the crowd, questioning the parent about the child’s age before criticizing the decision to bring a one-year-old to a loud concert.

In a widely circulated video, Maluma can be seen expressing concern over the baby’s ears, which were not shielded from the high decibel levels. He also commented on how the mother was waving the baby around as if it were a toy and emphasized that the child appeared distressed and not eager to be there.

“Do you think it’s a good idea to bring a one-year-old to a concert where the volume is this high? That baby doesn’t even understand what’s happening,” he remarked. He further advised the parent to protect the child’s ears in the future, stressing that it is their responsibility.

The artist, who has a one-year-old daughter named Paris with his girlfriend Susana Gómez, shared his perspective as a father. “As a dad, I would never take my child to such loud events. Be more mindful next time,” he urged, receiving applause and support from the crowd.

Maluma is currently on his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour, which is scheduled to conclude in Rosarito, Mexico. He also reiterated his love for family, sharing that fatherhood is his greatest dream. In March 2024, he welcomed his daughter, Paris, expressing happiness and gratitude for fulfilling his wish to become a father.
