Alan Dershowitz Offers Free Pierogi for Life After Martha’s Vineyard Dumpling Row
Florida Pierogi Vendor Offers Free Pierogi for Life to Alan Dershowitz
A pierogi restaurant owner from South Florida plans to support Alan Dershowitz after his recent experience on Martha’s Vineyard. Peter Nowocien, owner of PierogiOne, announced he will send the retired law professor and former Trump lawyer free pierogi for life, emphasizing that these Polish comfort foods are meant to unite people, not divide them.
Earlier this month, Dershowitz, aged 86, confronted a vendor at the West Tisbury Farmers Market who refused to serve him, citing political reasons. Dershowitz later announced plans to file a discrimination lawsuit against the market, claiming he was denied service based on his political views.
Growing up under Communist rule in Poland, Nowocien, a supporter of President Trump and a member of Mar-a-Lago, expressed his dismay at acts of discrimination based on political beliefs. He said, “While our views may differ, everyone should be able to enjoy a pierogi or any food. That shouldn’t happen here.”
He highlighted the variety of traditional pierogi flavors available at his restaurant, from cheese and potato to mushroom and sauerkraut. Nowocien believes in the American Dream and its promise of personal freedom, contrasting his upbringing with life in the US, which he considers to offer the highest levels of liberty.
“We should all have a seat at the table, regardless of politics,” Nowocien stated, emphasizing his desire to bring people together through his culinary offerings.
