City is eager to extend his contract to prevent his departure on a free transfer, especially given the increasing interest from Spanish giants. An offer to extend his stay until 2029 has reportedly been presented, which is believed to be highly lucrative, possibly making him the highest-paid midfielder in Europe, close to Erling Haaland’s salary.
