In her caption, Schumer explained, “Since my surfing injury back in the day, my L5 has been causing severe discomfort. Today, I had a laminectomy! The recovery should be quick, and soon I’ll buy a new bra!”

She also shared a selfie from her hospital bed, jokingly captioning it, “Overheard post back surgery: ‘pickle ball keeps this place in business.’” The comedian has been open about her health challenges, including her past experiences with weight-loss medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

Schumer discussed her weight-loss journey, noting that drugs like Mounjaro helped her shed 30 pounds quickly, although nausea was a significant side effect that left her bedbound at times. She previously spoke about her “horrible experience” with Ozempic and her genetic predisposition to nausea, especially during pregnancy.
