Cassie Ventura Returns to Social Media After Diddy Trial & Birth

Cassie Ventura Returns to Social Media After Testifying in Diddy’s Trial

After testifying emotionally over several days in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex-trafficking trial earlier this year, Cassie Ventura has made her comeback on social media with a humorous touch.

The singer of “Me & U” and mother of three, who welcomed her latest child in May amidst the trial, shared a playful postpartum joke via her Instagram Story. The clip shows a man dancing to DJ Khaled and Rihanna’s “Wild Thoughts” with the caption, “When your old self starts emerging postpartum.” She added in the comments, “Factual. Little by little lol.”

Casandra Ventura, pregnant, returned to social media after her court testimony and recent childbirth.

Ventura, 38, appears to be in high spirits compared to the months prior when she had to recount her long and tumultuous relationship with Combs, 55. During the trial, she testified about a 2016 surveillance video showing Combs striking her in a hotel lobby and described other instances of abuse. She detailed the “freak-offs” — episodes where she engaged in sexual activities while being watched by Combs — with one lasting up to four days, which led to medical issues like urinary infections and mouth sores.

Ventura was on the witness stand for days, even shortly before giving birth.

She endured a rigorous cross-examination, with prosecutors highlighting private, explicit messages exchanged with her ex. Despite her efforts, Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering but found guilty of transporting someone for prostitution. His legal team viewed the outcome as a partial win, emphasizing Ventura’s role in paving the way for justice.

“This entire criminal process started when Cassie Ventura courageously filed her civil complaint,” said her lawyer, Doug Widor. “Although he was not found guilty of sex trafficking, her actions contributed to the conviction for transportation to engage in prostitution.”

Combs, who dated Ventura from 2007 to 2018, was praised for his impact on entertainment and justice advocacy, with his legal team affirming their commitment to fight for survivors.
