Republicans Use Epstein Files Subpoena to Protect Trump – A Dirty Political Trick
House Oversight Committee’s Epstein Investigation Subpoenas Target Critics of Donald Trump
The House Oversight Committee recently issued subpoenas related to their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. The list includes prominent figures such as former Attorneys General William Barr, Alberto Gonzales, Jeff Sessions, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, and Merrick Garland, as well as former FBI Director James Comey, and high-profile political figures like Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton.
Interestingly, none of the current Trump administration officials are on this subpoena list. Notably absent are Attorney General Pam Bondi, who previously claimed the Epstein client list was nonexistent, and FBI Director Kash Patel, who has extensively discussed Epstein’s files.
The committee’s list predominantly features individuals who have publicly criticized or opposed Donald Trump. This suggests that the Republican-led Oversight Committee might be using the Epstein investigation to divert attention and shift blame away from Trump, transforming the inquiry into a political tactic rather than a straightforward investigation.
The targeted subpoenas indicate an attempt to scrutinize figures linked to the Epstein case, many of whom have had contentious relationships with Trump. The strategy appears to be more about political maneuvering than uncovering new evidence related to Epstein himself.
