Jeff Ross: Tom Brady ‘Lost Half’ His Humor in Divorce

Tom Brady Expresses Regret Over Netflix Roast, While Jeff Ross Shares Mixed Feelings

Tom Brady recently admitted that participating in his highly publicized roast was a mistake. However, veteran comedian Jeff Ross, who orchestrated the event, told us he has ambivalent feelings about Brady’s regrets. Ross praised Brady for enduring the challenging night and humorously remarked, “I didn’t realize you could lose half your sense of humor in a divorce.”

Ross, known for roasting personalities from Donald Trump to Charlie Sheen, shared that he aims for everyone involved to have an enjoyable experience. “I want the roast to be remembered as the greatest night of their life,” he said. Many of the jokes targeted Brady’s split from Gisele Bündchen, with comedians including Kevin Hart, Nikki Glazer, and Andrew Schultz focusing on his high-profile breakups.

Brady commented afterward that he didn’t like how the roast impacted his kids.

Ross reflected on his experiences, mentioning that after Bruce Willis’ roast, the actor sent him a thank-you note, and Pamela Anderson sent flowers after hers. Ross’s goal is to evoke such positive responses, as he aims to create memorable and respectful comedy.

He described the roast as his “origin story,” emphasizing its themes of resilience and overcoming adversity. Having lost both parents before age 20, Ross learned the importance of mourning and moving forward. “You need to mourn and move on, or a part of you dies,” he stated.

Many jokes referenced Brady’s separation from Gisele Bündchen.

Jeff Ross also shared that his own “origin story” includes resilience, describing the roast as a testament to getting through life’s challenges. He plans to honor late friends Bob Saget and Gilbert Gottfried in his upcoming Broadway show, “Take A Banana for the Ride,” which he sees as a tribute to their inspiring lives.
