California Mother and Baby Girl Missing for 10 Days

Missing Mother and Baby Prompt Endangered Missing Advisory

A woman from California, Whisper Owen, 36, and her 8-month-old daughter, Sandra McCarthy, have been missing for ten days after failing to arrive at their destination. Authorities confirmed that the pair was last seen around 5 p.m. on Tuesday while leaving Fresno. They were headed home to Elk Grove, where family members were expecting them, but never reached their home.

The mother and daughter were traveling in a silver 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was last recorded on a traffic camera in Atwater, approximately 65 miles north of Fresno, at around 8 p.m. that day. The vehicle exhibited visible damage on the driver’s side headlight, according to officials.

An image captured by traffic cameras shows the damaged SUV, which bears California license plate 9LKH008. Despite a broad search effort, there have been no sightings of Whisper Owen, Sandra McCarthy, or the vehicle. The search has intensified, and the California Highway Patrol has issued an Endangered Missing Advisory.
