Ro Khanna Calls for Party Rebirth, Demands Old Guard Go
Rep. Ro Khanna Calls for Democratic Party Rebirth and Transparency
During the Voters of Tomorrow Summit in Washington, D.C., Congressman Ro Khanna dismissed the existing political establishment, urging a renewal of the Democratic Party rooted in populism and dedication to the working and middle classes.
Addressing young progressives, Khanna emphasized the necessity of combating political corruption through increased transparency. He highlighted the importance of releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files as a step toward restoring trust in government, stating, “It’s a beginning to usher in a new era of openness.”
He passionately advocated for a party that champions human rights, workers, and immigrants, asserting, “This party needs a rebirth to stand for people over donors.” Khanna urged the party to shed outdated methods and embrace change to resonate with a diverse, future-oriented electorate.
Khanna emphasized the importance of diversifying representation in Congress and called for more inclusive leadership that will better reflect the nation’s future. He closed with a rallying cry: “It’s time to reclaim our party and our country.”
