Boebert’s Son Charged with Child Abuse

Son of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert Faces Child Abuse Misdemeanor Charge

Tyler Boebert, the 20-year-old son of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, has been cited on a misdemeanor child abuse charge linked to an incident involving his grandson. According to police records obtained by Denver Westword, the citation, issued on July 11, resulted from allegations of criminal negligence, without any injuries or fatalities.

In response, Lauren Boebert described the situation as a “miscommunication” regarding her supervision of her young grandson, clarifying that no physical harm occurred. She added that her family has cooperated with Child Protective Services to confirm the safety of the children in their home.

Tyler Boebert, who became a father in June 2023, has a prior criminal record. In 2024, he faced 22 charges related to vehicle break-ins and theft, including multiple felonies. He subsequently pled guilty to attempted identity theft as part of a plea deal, resulting in some charges being dismissed. He is currently serving probation for this case.
