Two Bodies Discovered at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas

Authorities found the bodies of a 43-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman along a trail at Devil’s Den State Park, a well-known outdoor destination in Arkansas, over the weekend. Their deaths have prompted a manhunt for a potential suspect.

The Arkansas State Police reported that the double homicide occurred at the scenic park, famed for its caves, rock formations, and large forested areas. Images from the scene show police investigating the area, which is popular among tourists and outdoor lovers.

The victims are currently being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy, where officials will determine the cause and manner of death.

The police are seeking a suspect described as a white male wearing dark shorts, a dark tank top, and weightlifting gloves. The individual was last seen driving a black four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a license plate covered with duct or electrical tape, heading toward a park exit.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed condolences and assured that law enforcement is working tirelessly to apprehend the suspect. “We are heartbroken by this tragic news and pray for the victims’ families. Authorities will not rest until the perpetrator is caught,” she stated.

Devil’s Den State Park, situated roughly 30 miles south of Fayetteville, is a popular destination for hiking, camping, mountain biking, horseback riding, and water activities, nestled in the Ozark National Forest.
