Jeffrey Epstein’s Tapes and Bannon’s Involvement

By 2017, Jeffrey Epstein was considered a social pariah, with attempts by his close associate Ghislaine Maxwell to rebrand herself as a charity leader, distancing herself from Epstein. Amid ongoing revelations of Epstein’s dubious financial deals and sexual misconduct with underage girls, his regular guest at his East 71st Street mansion was Steve Bannon.

Despite Epstein’s tarnished reputation, Bannon reportedly viewed himself as capable of helping Epstein improve his image. Over time, Bannon amassed more than 15 hours of interviews with Epstein, filming at Epstein’s Manhattan residence in 2019 for a documentary that was never released. Epstein, in a rare clip, claimed to support the #MeToo movement, asserting that women should take over, which Bannon’s off-screen questioning dismissed as a superficial attempt to mask deeper depravity.

It is noteworthy that Epstein had Epstein and Bannon’s relationship predated 2017, with some speculating they knew each other longer than publicly confirmed. Bannon, known as a media figure and former White House chief strategist, also promoted the tapes as part of a documentary project titled “The Monster,” proposing to involve Netflix. In interviews, Bannon spoke of Epstein as a figure linked to elite circles and mysterious scientific initiatives, including Transhumanism.

Only one clip from Epstein’s interviews has been publicly released, showing Epstein falsely claiming to be a supporter of Time’s Up, the anti-sexual harassment organization. Bannon’s interviews reveal a complex relationship, with Bannon questioning Epstein’s narratives and suggesting he aimed to help Epstein restore his reputation.

In recent years, discussions have intensified over why these tapes have not been publicly disclosed, especially since Epstein died in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges. The interviews depict Epstein as a person who claimed to believe in women’s empowerment, contrasting with his infamous controversial history. Bannon’s efforts, including his statements about the tapes and his desire to produce a documentary, remain under scrutiny.

While Bannon did not comment publicly, the existence of these recordings adds new layers to Epstein’s scandal and his connections to prominent figures. Only one clip has been previously released, highlighting Epstein’s support for certain social causes in a manner viewed skeptically by critics.
