Gwyneth Paltrow Mocks Coldplay Scandal as Astronomer Becomes New Spokesperson
Gwyneth Paltrow Acts as Temporary Spokesperson Amid Viral Coldplay Scandal
Gwyneth Paltrow, the actress and ex-wife of Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin, has jokingly stepped into the role of temporary spokesperson for a tech company following a viral incident involving band members during a concert.
After Chris Martin made a humorous remark about a suspected affair between the company’s CEO Andy Byron and HR leader Kristin Cabot—caught on a large screen during Coldplay’s Boston show—Paltrow responded with a playful video. In this clip, she humorously announced her brief appointment as the company’s spokesperson, representing its 300 employees.
In her comedic video, she mentioned the company received many questions recently, and she addressed some of the most common ones, including one that lightheartedly asked about the company’s expertise in data workflow automation. She responded, “Yes! Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow,” dodging uncomfortable questions with humor.
She also joked about the company’s social media team, turning a potentially awkward moment into a light-hearted comment about their recent surge in popularity, “We’ve been thrilled to see so many people suddenly interested in data workflow automation.”
Meanwhile, Chris Martin has remained largely silent about the incident. During a recent concert, he briefly referenced the situation, expressing hope he did not “do something bad” by showing the scandal on the big screen.
Andy Byron resigned as CEO on July 19, and Kristin Cabot, reportedly also married, resigned shortly after, amid the ongoing controversy.
