Lainey Wilson has yet to begin planning her wedding but emphasizes keeping it straightforward and meaningful. She shared that she wants the day to be about love and what truly matters, avoiding unnecessary fuss.

Her fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, a former football quarterback, proposed after dating for about four years. The proposal took place at the George Jones estate, which Duck had arranged as a surprise after the Super Bowl. Wilson suspected a proposal was imminent, but the romantic setting exceeded her expectations, with candles and photos making it a perfect moment.

Although wedding plans are still in the early stages, Wilson plans for a very simple ceremony, especially since she’s busy touring with her Whirlwind tour. She also showed off her stunning custom-designed ring, which Duck created based on photos she sent him as a joke. She admitted she would have accepted any ring, but was pleasantly surprised by the elaborate design, which she called a mistake on Duck’s part.

Wilson highlighted that her relationship feels natural and effortless, a sentiment reflected in her approach to marriage. She emphasized that she values the event being about love rather than elaborate details, and she intends to take her time planning it.
