Pet Groomer Arrested for Animal Abuse in North Carolina

A pet groomer in North Carolina has been detained after disturbing video footage surfaced, showing her mistreating multiple dogs during grooming sessions. The footage, captured by a concerned coworker, depicts Kirsten Rhea Taylor, 28, physically abusing dogs by striking them repeatedly and slamming one against a wall.

The incident occurred at the grooming business, Classy Critters, in Mooresville. Iredell County Animal Services was alerted to the footage and launched an investigation. Authorities confirmed that at least four dogs, brought in for routine care, were subjected to aggressive handling, including being hit and pushed.

The videos show Taylor hitting a dog multiple times, with one clip revealing her punching a dog during grooming. Another captures a dog cowering in fear, being slammed against a wall. The severity of these actions led to the case being handed over to the sheriff’s office, which secured arrest warrants for Taylor.

The owner of Classy Critters confirmed that Taylor is no longer employed at the facility. She has been released on a $10,000 bail.
