Brock Davies Addresses Infidelity During Wife Scheana Shay’s Pregnancy

Brock Davies has publicly spoken about his affair with another woman while his wife, Scheana Shay, was pregnant. Sharing on Shay’s “Scheananigans” podcast, he explained that the relationship was strictly sexual—no dating or courting involved. They met up multiple times over three weeks, but he stopped the affair after feeling guilty about it.

Davies admitted that he was an “absolute coward” for hiding the truth for so long. He explained that his childhood was marked by instability, moving through 15 different schools, which contributed to his focus on achievement and a type of egocentric behavior. Through therapy, he’s gained insight into his reasons for cheating, recognizing them as part of a broader context rather than excuses.

He revealed that during the affair, he was overwhelmed with fear about becoming a father again and questioned whether he deserved the responsibilities that came with it. His actions, he says, stemmed from a desire to protect himself emotionally.

Scheana Shay chose to keep the affair private for years, partly to shield their daughter and also to focus on her career and family issues, including supporting a friend through a cheating scandal. She detailed her experience in her new memoir, “My Good Side,” revealing that she learned of the affair two years prior, during the COVID-19 pandemic, while pregnant with their daughter Summer.

Despite the betrayal, Shay decided to stay with Davies, who expressed remorse and took responsibility. He shared that therapy has helped him understand his flaws, and he’s committed to making lasting changes. He emphasized that his past does not define his future and expressed support for Shay’s decision to share their story publicly.

Following the podcast, Davies posted on Instagram about their ongoing efforts to rebuild their relationship. He reaffirmed his commitment to his family and pledged to continue working towards becoming the man his family deserves.
