Garth Brooks’ daughters showed their support for his relationship with Trisha Yearwood in a sweet and humorous way. During a 2019 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Brooks shared a story highlighting his daughters’ affection for Yearwood.

He explained that before they were married, his daughters Taylor, August, and Allie decided to exchange vows with Yearwood themselves. Brooks recounted telling his girls, “If something happens to me, you’ve got to take care of Ms. Yearwood,” prompting their playful response during a family dinner. The marriage took place in December 2005 at their home near Tulsa, Oklahoma, after the engagement during a concert in May of that year. At that time, his daughters ranged from teenagers to just nine years old, making Allie’s witty response especially endearing.
