Ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron & Kristin Cabot Caught Canoodling at Coldplay Concert
Ex-CEO and HR Chief Caught on Video Canoodling at Coldplay Concert
Andy Byron, former CEO of the data and AI firm, along with Kristin Cabot, the company’s HR chief, were captured on video indulging in a public display of affection during a Coldplay concert on July 16. A fan-uploaded clip from TikTok shows Byron and Cabot embracing and packing on the PDA before being spotted on the kiss cam segment of the event.
The TikTok caption humorously remarked, “POV: Trying to get the best 📸 of Coldplay but you end up getting this viral affair as well 👀🫢,” highlighting the candid moment. In the footage, Byron can be seen wrapping his arms around Cabot’s waist, leading to the pair quickly ducking out of frame upon realizing they were featured on the jumbotron. The incident swiftly went viral, amassing millions of views, and online sleuths identified Byron and Cabot as the involved individuals.
It was revealed that both were married to different partners at the time. Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, also responded by removing her surname from social media and deleting her Facebook after receiving numerous comments about the scandal. Cabot, previously separated from her ex-husband, Kenneth Thornby, since 2018, appears to now be married to the CEO of Privateer Rum, with property records indicating she has shared a Rye, New Hampshire residence with Andrew Cabot since 2023. The couple reportedly purchased a house together just months before the scandal surfaced.
Further details emerged as the incident was linked to a broader investigation by the company, which placed both Byron and Cabot on leave. Byron subsequently resigned on July 19, and Cabot also resigned from her position. A company spokesperson confirmed her departure, citing her resignation.
The controversy began when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked during the concert’s kiss cam segment, prompting the couple to shyly duck out of view. The viral clip and subsequent revelations have sparked intense public and media scrutiny, with neighbors criticizing Byron’s behavior but emphasizing the need for family privacy during this difficult time.
