Ozzy Osbourne’s Kids Honor Late Bl:a:ck Sabbath Frontman in Quiet Tribute
Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at 76
Legendary rock figures, including some of Ozzy Osbourne’s lesser-known children, have begun to pay their respects following his death. Jessica and Louis Osbourne, Ozzy’s children with his first wife, Thelma Riley, shared their condolences silently on social media, reflecting their grief.
Louis, 50, marked the occasion by changing his Facebook profile picture to a black square, while Jessica reposted a tribute from a podcast, writing simply, “RIP Ozzy.”
Ozzy, famed frontman of Black Sabbath, was confirmed to have died earlier on Tuesday at the age of 76. A family statement read, “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
In recent years, Ozzy battled numerous health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and a spinal injury. His final public performance was with Black Sabbath at Birmingham’s Villa Park Stadium earlier this month. His last Instagram post was a tribute to that historic show, featuring bandmates Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, and Geezer Butler.
The remaining members of Black Sabbath also paid tribute to Ozzy, referring to him as their “brother” and expressing their deep loss. Guitarist Tony Iommi remarked on his passing, noting he couldn’t find the right words and emphasizing that Ozzy was irreplaceable. The band described their loss as the demise of a true brother.
