Mom of Missing Student Eliotte Heinz Remains Hopeful in 4th Day of Search
Search Continues for Missing Wisconsin Student
The mother of Eliotte Heinz, a 22-year-old college student from Wisconsin who disappeared early Sunday morning, is holding onto hope as the investigation stretches into its fourth day. Eliotte was last seen walking home from a bar in La Crosse after a night out with friends.
Her family says she was at the Bronco bar on Saturday night and left around 2:30 a.m. Security footage captured her about an hour later near the Mississippi River, approximately a 30-minute walk from the bar, which is believed to be her last known location.
“We couldn’t reach her that Sunday morning, and that’s when we knew something was wrong,” her mother explained. Family and friends have been actively distributing missing person flyers around La Crosse, while police and volunteers continue searching. The family urges the public to remain vigilant, asking residents to review their security camera footage from early Sunday hours as even the smallest detail might help find her.
Eliotte was recorded on security cameras walking along Front Street near the river around 3:20 a.m. She is a student at Viterbo University, enrolled in the mental health counseling program. Her family emphasizes that their focus remains on her safe return and greatly appreciates community support during this distressing time.
Her loved ones and authorities are hopeful for her safe return and continue to investigate all leads in the case.
