Kelly Osbourne Denies Ozzy Had Suicide Pact with Sharon Before His D:ea:th

Ozzy Osbourne’s Family Addresses Rumors of Suicide Pact Before His Death

Kelly Osbourne publicly refuted claims suggesting her father, Ozzy Osbourne, had a suicide agreement with his wife, Sharon Osbourne, shortly before his passing at age 76. She took to Instagram to dismiss the rumors, stating, “Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact. That was bulls–t my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop.” Kelly emphasized that Ozzy, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and suffering limited mobility from a 2003 quad bike accident, is “not dying.”

The false speculation was fueled by an AI-generated video featuring a voice resembling Ozzy’s that claimed, “I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.”

Sharon Osbourne, 72, was the first to publicly suggest the couple had a pact. In a 2007 interview, she revealed their belief in euthanasia and plans to visit an assisted suicide clinic in Switzerland if they were to develop a debilitating illness, such as Alzheimer’s disease, explaining, “If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it — we’d be off — we couldn’t put our kids through that.”

In a 2023 episode of her family’s “Osbourne Podcast,” Sharon reaffirmed this stance, explaining they didn’t want to suffer physically or mentally, stating, “I don’t want it to actually hurt… mental suffering is enough pain without physical. So if you’ve got mental and physical, see ya.”

Kelly added a bitter remark during a conversation, questioning whether Ozzy might have survived, prompting Sharon to retort that life after such illness would be debilitating: “Yeah, what if you survived and you can’t wipe your own ass, you’re pissing everywhere, s–tting, can’t eat?”

Following Ozzy’s death, the family issued a statement expressing their grief: “It is with more sadness than words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our privacy at this time.”

Ozzy, who also shared children Louis, Elliot, and Jessica from previous relationships, married Sharon in 1982 after divorcing his first wife, Thelma Riley. This family history underscores his long-standing personal journey with health and family bonds.
