Texas singer Miranda Lambert is organizing a benefit concert to aid those affected by recent devastating floods in her home state. The flooding has resulted in at least 132 fatalities.

Lambert discussed the situation during a call-in segment on SiriusXM’s Highway Mornings, expressing her emotional response and solidarity with fellow Texans. “I feel like I’m on the verge of tears constantly,” she shared. “I feel helpless, just like everyone else.”

She emphasized the community spirit of Texas, stating, “More than anything, Texans help Texans,” and mentioned plans to announce additional charitable initiatives soon. When asked about the upcoming benefit concert, Lambert confirmed, “Yes, we’re working on something.”

Prior to her announcement, Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation, which she founded with her mother in 2009, has already begun supporting flood-affected animals in partnership with Kerrville Pets Alive, assessing needs and providing aid.

Other country artists are also contributing. Recently, Chris Stapleton donated a remarkable $1 million through his Outlaw State of Kind fund, with a portion directed to MuttNation to help with flood relief efforts. The collaboration between Lambert and Stapleton on the duet “A Song to Sing” adds a heartfelt dimension to their joint commitment to aid communities and animals across Texas.

More information about Lambert’s benefit concert is expected to be announced soon.
